Frank M. Good Collection. [between 1860-1870].

The Frank M. Good Collection of photographic prints consists of 1 albumen print by, and 15 albumen prints attributed by Helmut Gernsheim to, the English photographer Frank M. (Mason) Good. Good began his photographic career as an assistant to the English photographer Francis Frith, and it was Frith who sponsored Good's first trip to the Near East. The majority of the photographs in this collection are of the Near East, more specifically the Holy Land, but the collection also contains two photographs of Athens Greece. Non of the photographs bear dates, but they were most likely made between 1860 and 1870, a time period when Good was known to have been active.
